Question 1
Ive made a title sequence .The purpose of a title sequence is to convey to our target audience the main aspects of the film so that it entices them to watch the entire film, that is the convention of my title sequence. Conventions are widely popular elementsMicro elements consist of the the mise-en-scene, Location, Setting and Lighting.
Macro elements are other aspects such as the character and acting...
Directors and Producer may want to challenge the conventions of the media product they are making , so that it could could have a larger target audience eg if they were making a film , changing the Micro convention of the settings that it's filmed in may appeal to a larger demographic.
The order we expect to see our titles in based on the genre we chose and the film we took inspiration from (SEVEN), the titles went in the order of :
IDENT
PRODUCTION COMPANY
DIRECTOR
MAIN ACTOR 1
ACTOR 2
NAME OF THE FILM
ACTOR X4
CASTING BY
MUSIC BY
COSUME BY
EDITING BY
PRODUCTION DESIGNED BY
DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY

The type used the se7en title sequence was hand writing intergrated into the scenes they were all generally in the bottom left or right corner and lasted about 3 seconds , the size of the font/type were relatively small but readable, they used a colour that clearly stood out -White.
We then took this a inspiration and then made our title sequence in this order :
I used a title on a moving image in my title sequence so that the text integrated with the film i used this title type other than titles on a blank screen type because it looked more professional, and effective as it correlated with the chosen theme (horror/Thriller. If we did chose to use titles on a blank screen because the flow of the film would be lost and would not create disbelief.
In our title sequence we established our genre with the use of lighting and created a dark tone to scenes (to protea horror/Thriller) by doing this we also established the atmosphere and tone to tell the audience how to react to the film with out cliff hanging ending around our two main characters. The title sequence will introduce the main character(s) and lastly introduce our theme , which I based around the diary.
(Introducing the character)
CONCLUSION
I used the media convention relating to my genre and the title sequence , such as mise-en-scene and lighting , I developed them in editing but changing the contrast and brightness on the footage to appear darker so that there is an impact on the genre that was chosen. I believe I was very successful in creating a recognisable title sequence as I used the conventions that was needed and my target Audience were appealed but the plot and the aspects of my title sequence .

question 2
HOW DOES YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT REPRESENT PARTICULAR SOCIAL GROUPS ?

question 3
WHAT KIND OF MEDIA INSTITUTION MIGHT DISTRIBUTE YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT AND WHY ?
The name of the distribution company that we have made up is "CandiMedia" and "STUDIO24" this name was relevant to me as it was the name given to our group '24' so we incorporated that into our distributors and producers name. We created an ident and placed that correctly at the front of our title sequence.
My distributing company is similar to other company's such as "Blumhouse" and " Universal Pictures" these at similar to our company as they both promote low budgeted films like ours. Films they have produced that is similar to ours is "The visit " which was enfact produced by Blumhouse producers and distributors. Other films similar to ours are "The stepfather" which was distributed by "screen gems", all these films are alike to mine as they all have a thriller and or horror theme genre.
If I was a real life distributor and producer, films that I would promote that are similar to mine is "Amityville" due to its horror theme/genre. " Pet cemetery" as its a low budget horror film that is similar a to ours. Lastly "Women in Black " as it has a small acting cast.
It will enable to do this as my independent distribution company is low budget and my film is not promoted wildly commercially, the " cinema on the green " in the Islington area is also low budgeted we are able to afford the premier costs and hosts for the event.
Distributing my film through Vimeo also people on social media to view and like it, this form of distribution appeals to my target audience and a wide range of potential audience, this digital format may be more popular that leaving your house and going to the cinema as its more accessible and comfortable for the target audience.
The DVD release would be advertise on social media that have been made ; Facebook, Instagram and six website.
These distribution methods I have chosen to use are because I am a low budgeted small idependent distributor who specialises in distributing idependently made films.
Market campaigns that I've chosen to use are widely social media based for example a Wix website which has detailed the priemer date, release date , and other information such as a small summery of the plot for the title sequence , cast members and the production and distributor name. I've also used social media such as Facebook and Instagram, using these sites able me to reach a wide popualation of my target audience and help them to promote it.

Todays filming 21st jan Chavarnie
In todays filming sessions we had edited the film, and has finished our final piece.
In the editing session we took on the target audience comments and teacher advice, we made the title sequence title "THE DIARY" larger and more centred in the frame, as it was not distinctive among the other titles and didn't create the effect of the being the title name that we wanted. we also lower the volume of the foley foot steps in our scenes as they didn't sound realistic and the foot steps sound was above our dark ambient sound. We also cut the start of certain scenes so that it flowed better and so that there was more consistency.

sounds used in our rough draft 1 title sequence
We used drone sounds that was sampled from youtube that was the constant sound that ran through the whole title sequence, we also found that we need to added foley sounds so we imported , a stapling paper together sound that I made using a recorder , and saved on the video drive. we also added other foley sounds such as a iPhone ringtone, feet walking on the ground.
We did find we need addition sounds such as some one written on paper which added to the effectiveness of our film, also to create a sense of disbelief.

Burning the diary pages
During the filming production, we as a group had planned to burn some of the pages from the diary for our title sequence. However unfortunately, on the day we were planning to film the burning the pages, we were running out of time to film and our teacher wasn't in to supervise us while doing it so in the end we had to scrap that idea.
Evidence of filming
this is my evidence of editing. I edited on the 12/1/16 at the workshop, i did this i could get extra editing that not with in the class hours. i had added filters to the scenes and added ambient sounds to the title sequence. i also provided the title sequences with effects such as fades and changing the contrasts and tones of the scene so that it reflects it genre-Horror/thriller. i changed the contrast to a dark tone so it looks more erie.
The Pitch - 6. Mise-en-scene (Location & Setting)(Pree) UPDATE
A) LOCATION
We have changed our initial locations for the title sequence, from the library and the storage closet in the graphic/photography classroom within the college, to a small room in the college and a park/garden across form the college campus. We thought this would be a a lot easier as our thoughts on trying to find an actual post office close to the college for our previous idea was getting complicated.
B) SETTING
We have decided to keep the settings in owen's field but i incuded

filming run through
The first filming run through was successful, the equipment we used was ; tripod, cam corder , handheld stabiliser and led lights.
we found to portray our theme/genre (horror) we needed and concentrated light to create an erie tone to the scenes. we found we needed to place the light in a particular place to create the affect we needed in our title sequence. However we did find the filming successful and i thinks we successfully associated we our film genre that we chose and reflected in our scenes
improvements we need to take on in the next filming session, we need to use a brighter light to cast shadows that we intend to use in our scene. we also found in our clips we needed to slow down certain scenes and have more use of the tripod to steady the camera , to create suspense disbelief and bring more eeriness and dramatics to the scene especially with the main character whose the villain.

editing rough cut
In this session we found that theist filming session wasn't successful , as sounds that were imported into the video clips had disappeared and we were not able to hear the Foley sounds that where added, Therefore in this filming session we had to repair those issues as the clips could not be found on our hard drive .
To resolve this issues we had to re apply the sounds to the clips and have the existing sound on out hard drive also so that sound was always "online" so it could be heard throughout the titles sequence.
We were able to do this successfully and final embedded the clips so any changes had been saved.

rough draft -first edit
we found our rough cut was successful and we found are clips were suffice and our entire title sequence was had consistent continuant flow. we did find that we did need to refilm certain scenes that are either not steady or elements that are in the scene that we didn't want.
For example we had an H&M bag that was caught in the scene that we didn't want, and we didn't want it to catch any attention that would distract from the title sequence, so therefore we will re film this so its looks more consistent and professional.
evidence of filming
This editing session was more successful as we were able to create enough material that could be used for the final title sequence.

Feed back evaluation
Strengths
I found our strengths are we have strong idea have the ability to develope into an effective title sequence that will appeal to our target audience.
Weakness
We have no edvience of films , I found there is an lack of communication between the group howeve there is not confusing of what is needed to be done
Did we intends to film in the order that you did ?
We stuck to the filming schedule and film on the day that were planned and re filming was down afterwards if it was needed, as a group we went accordantly with the storyboard that I created and the shot list that guided us .
Does the order of shots make sense ?
I think the plot of our film is clear and easy to understand, as the shots flow with one another, so it's all consistent.
Variety of shots ?
There is a variety of shot types in our title sequence for example , we have you over the shoulder , we have established match cut set ups. We also have close up and extreme close ups,
Mise-en-scene
We used a spot light /concentrated light so we could create a light to use on close ups.to convey our genre horror/thriller. With costume with characters we dressed our main characters in clothes that would be associated with there social group which is a ordinary teen who attends school slight with an edgy style and our other main character with a long trench coat, leather gloves and long black trousers as it it is winter , we are you using dull dark colours to associated with our genre horror thriller. We had a diary as a prop.
In conclusion the filming was successful and that we are organised and are focused on our object.
