Question 1

Powered by emazeIve made a title sequence .The purpose of a title sequence is to convey to our target audience the main aspects of the film so that it entices them to watch the entire film, that is the convention of my title sequence.  Conventions are widely popular elements

that consist in a specific genre or media for example mise en scene.

Conventions of a media can be assessed two ways , micro and macro.
Micro elements consist of the the mise-en-scene, Location, Setting and Lighting.
Macro elements are other aspects such as the character and acting...
Directors and Producer may want to challenge the conventions of the media product they are making , so that it could could have a larger target audience eg if they were making a film , changing the Micro convention of the settings that it's filmed in may appeal to a larger demographic.

The order we expect to see our titles in based on the genre we chose and the film we took inspiration from (SEVEN), the titles went in the order of :
IDENT
PRODUCTION COMPANY
DIRECTOR
MAIN ACTOR 1
ACTOR 2
NAME OF THE FILM
ACTOR X4
CASTING BY
MUSIC BY
COSUME BY
EDITING BY
PRODUCTION DESIGNED BY
DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY
CO PRODUCER
CO EXECUTIVE PRODUCER
EXECUTIVE PRODUCER
WRITTEN BY
PRODUCED BY
DIRECTED BY

The type used the se7en title sequence was hand writing intergrated into the scenes they were all generally in the bottom left or right corner and lasted about 3 seconds , the size of the font/type were relatively small but readable, they used a colour that clearly stood out -White.

We then took this a inspiration and then made our title sequence in this order :

I used a title on a moving image in my title sequence so that the text integrated with the film i used this title type other than titles on a blank screen type because  it looked more professional, and effective as it correlated with the chosen theme (horror/Thriller. If we did chose to use titles on a blank screen because the flow of the film would be lost and would not create disbelief.

In our title sequence we established our genre with the use of lighting and created a dark tone to scenes (to protea horror/Thriller) by doing this we also established the atmosphere and tone to tell the audience how to react to the film with out cliff hanging ending around our two main characters. The title sequence will introduce the main character(s) and lastly introduce our theme , which I based around the diary.

(Introducing the character)

CONCLUSION
I used the media convention relating to my genre and the title sequence , such as mise-en-scene and lighting , I developed them in editing but changing the contrast and brightness on the footage to appear darker so that there is an impact on the genre that was chosen. I believe I was very successful in creating a recognisable title sequence as I used the conventions that was needed and my target Audience were appealed but the plot and the aspects of my title sequence .
