Rough Cut Evaluation
1- a. Does the order of shots make sense?
Throughout the title sequence, the order of the shots are where they should be. We wanted the whole sequence to have a mixture of shots to make the audience curious as well as the title sequence itself to look suspenseful.b. Is the order the same as how you planned it?
A storyboard had been created just as an idea of what the title sequence could possibly look like. However plans had changed throughout the whole filming and editing process. But as the rough cut was being edited, the ideas we had started to come to play in the way we imagined it.2- The quality of the camera work
A lot of the shots had a clear quality whereas some were quite blurry which then led us to either re-take the shots or delete them entirely.
3- The variety of shot types used
We tried to use a range a different shots for the title sequence. We used a lot of match cuts, wide shots, close ups etc. We wanted it to be shot in different perspectives however i think more shot types could be used.
4- The use of lighting
For the lighting we used a lot of natural lighting when it came outside shots but also we were equipped with a torch light which we used for quite a few scenes such as the diary and investigation wall scenes. But when using the torch light, it would sometimes be too bright for us to see when editing, so we would have to re-shoot the the scenes.
5- The performance of the characters
We only had two main characters in our title sequence, George and Patrick. Patrick was our main character (the villain) who wrote all his victims in the diary. Since he does drama, he was able to adapt to the filming and how he should act. George on the other hand wasn't as confident and comfortable as patrick was.6- The use of mise-en-scene with locations, setting, props and costumes
As it autumn/winter, shooting the scenes were perfect for the title sequence when it came to the outdoor scenes. For the props, the diary was the main object. We used tea bags to make the diary look more authentic and old-looking. Gloves were another prop we used in the title sequence. Two types were used, rubber for the close-up diary scenes and leather for outdoor scenes, to add the effect that the diary is precious and finger prints cannot be left on the diary in case of evidence. The costumes, if found, were very vital to the story. Patrick wore dark clothing in representation of his character (the villain) which contrasted with George's costume. Most of the settings were taken outside. This was a bit of a problem as at one point it started to rain which then gave us a bit of a disadvantage when it came to filming. We personally didn't want to shoot any of the scenes away from the college campus so it would be easier to meet up and and not waste time.
Overall, I thought the whole process of filming and editing was a success. Though there were a few misconceptions during the process with locations, characters and preparation with the story, the title sequence, I found, came out greatly and just I hoped it would be.

feedback based on our target audience
Feedback that received from our first draft audience screening were comment such as ;
The quality of the sound used in our scene were not professional and consistent throughout the whole title sequence.
RE filming needs to be done so the scenes are not shaky because the directing and the camera was unstable and caused the camera to film material that was unsteady.
There were other comments do to with issues of acting and continuity.
So based on this feedback we re filmed and decided not to use the sound that was picked up on the camera as the sound quality sounded faint and there were certain sounds we didn't want in scenes, and as a group we decided to use foley sounds to improve the sounds in our title sequence.

rough cut 1
This was the process of editing our rough cut. We transferred all the clips and deleted the ones we didnt need. From there it was easier to edit because we knew what went where.

pitch evaluation 42
three target thats we could improve on to produce a better film are ;
1 To produce a more structured and detailed production schedule.
2 To obtain a reflective location our film and genre.
3 To re film more scenes

Improvement on filming
improvements that could be made during filming, were our organisation of what should be the aim t or he direction within our and film and the scene, this could improve the effectiveness within our scene to draw our target audience. this would also help to improves the scene to successfully portray the genre of our film.

Filming 2
Filming was successful. What took place in this filming sessions was the 'diary scene'.
we filmed in school in the location of 316, in this room we had our equipment and our props , diary, coloured pens and blue plastic gloves. we filmed the scene where the main character crosses out the faces of his victims

What I hope to find out if I could find a website or a video link in helping me to make effective fake blood for my film.
I found two useful YouTube videos to help me in making fake blood for filming. I found that one video was more helpful than the other as they required less materials to make this process and looked more realistic.

Title Sequence Update
We decided to change the location of our title sequence as it was hard to find a post office which would actually allow us to film. We kept the role of our characters (the good guy and the bad guy) but we changed the jobs they did (before they were post office workers). We had to change the costumes of the characters as we change the role of them.

28 use of sound
https://youtu.be/pZ3Q8LdhpCc?list=PL_P5ZEHuHS2Zm0WOOaHx30LbQmrPJHhew
https://youtu.be/F33eBPO3Zqw
Both film/title sequences have a strong use of foley sounds and non diegetic sound, such as the cameras shutter lenses opening and closing.
The were strong uses of foley sounds this helped to create an atmosphere, that drew the audience into the scenes and the detail in the scene (suspending disbelief). By making certain sounds into a folly type , there was an ability to make the sounds louder and more intense as its no mix into the sound of the scene

blogging health check 2
I will use a wider range of IT software in my blog when presenting my work, such as prezi. i will also increase the amount of blogs posted in a week.
Blogging Health Check - George
My blogging health check has gone up a lot since the first one. I am now getting to grips with blogging and how it is supposed to be done. Before I was unsure of how and when to post, which has now changed. I now must develop my posts to be more elaborate and detailed, and catch up on a few of the blog posts I missed.
The Pitch - 9. Sound design (George)
These are a few sounds that will contribute towards the soundscape of the film.
We chose these sounds as they add a certain darkness and tension to the movie.
We also plan to use diegetic and non-diegetic sound within the movie. With sound effects such as a door closing we will use non-diegetic but with dialogue we will use diegetic sound.

The Pitch - Title sequence style (George)
We have chosen to do a stylised title sequence. I was inspired by Zombieland and The Taking of Pelham 123.
We intend to be safe and conform to regular layout.
The Pitch - 12. Risk assessment (Pree)

The Pitch - 1. The film (George)
THE DIARY -
This is the title of our production.
BRIEF OUTLINE
The film will be set in a post office. There are 2 workers (Manager: Bad guy and the worker: good guy). The manager always writes stuff in his diary so one day when he leaves it unattended, the worker tries to look at it but accidentally misplaces it. The manager suspects the worker and sends him to the storage room(his secret spy headquarters) and confronts him. What happens next is for the audience to decide.
The Pitch - 5. Audience detail (Chavarnie)
This is a profile on target audience that like certain film that have the same genre that is similar to ours for example " Jurassic world "
Who is your core target audience ? Provide a detailed audience profile of a typical audience member to show who they are.
Our target audience is people preferable aged 16 - 25 (late 20's) who prefer to watch horror/crime thriller film. We've chosen this demographic as they're are interested in our film that we are promoting, so therefore it will be successful in this category. This target audience is young. we might appeal to older age group from 25 - 35. Are certificate that we will put on our film is aged "15" as there will be no hard violence or goriness that won't be appropriate for the age group.
Who is your wider target audience? Give evidence from your research.
This was an example of a demographic group for "The boy next door"

How will you attract them to your film (you can link this to whether you are mainstream or independent)?
we will attract them by marketing on platforms such as social media as we will be a independent distributer, such as Instagram, Twitter and Facebook for instances. This will hopefully attract them as the target research display the majority of the demographic used social media such as "Facebook"
