6) Analysis of 2 film title sequences

Skyfall (2012) — Art of the Title



This title sequence includes dramatic music which indicates that the genre might be action. Images such as a gun and a knife is being shown which also tells us that the genre may be action. Right at the start of the title sequence we are already introduced to a character from the movie. Then we see names of the producers and so. The dark colours being used ( blue and black and red) suggest it is quite an intense movie. Within the first 30 seconds of the title sequence, we find out the name of the movie 'Skyfall'. We also get a hint of what the movie may be about and that it contains violent scenes.


Marvel's Daredevil (2015) — Art of the Title


This title sequence introduced the name of the actors/actresses at the beginning. Throughout the title sequence, the colour red is shown indicating that it may show bold, action packed scenes. The title sequence is quite short so this may mean that they wanted the audience to guess what the movie may be about. We aren't shown any pictures of the characters in the actual movie till the end, however that was still not a quite clear picture. At the end, the movie name has appeared. The title sequence is quite brief and doesn't give out much information about the genre of the movie or the characters in the movie.
