Prelim evaluation

In the first stages of my Prelimary , my group and I decided to plan our shots that we will be using in each scene and the script. We were given the scenery of  'nurses waiting room' and the prop of an 'Arsenal flag'. I developed my dialogue and storyline skills in the planning process which abled me to create dialogue between to characters that flowed. I also developed skills in placing the camera in the correct place such as the interview scene which needed me to use the 180 rule so when editing the scenes, angle and shot is correct to the viewer. I also developed my knowledge of the camera which helped me to create over the shoulder shot, and mid long shot. I also developed skills in editing such as using the slice tool which helped me to split a shot into different sections. the aspects of my completed film that I think worked best was the scripted as it was an easy conversation so that it was easy to edit as it flowed.  An aspect of the completed film which was less successful was the audio as some of it was quieter then others so when editing the audio volume to change through out. I would change the amount of times I filmed a scene, I would increase the amount. I would also change the actors volume of speaking so it was more detectable on the mic. I have learned that the storyboard and shot list  importance is high as is help sets a expectation for going in to filming and acting. It also helps with  creating a good film. I've learned that the importance of storyboarding and shot-lists that I can use when planning my big production piece is that the more planning and dialogue constructing helps to make a more improved and well developed film
