The Shining (1980) — Art of the Title: The scene is set with the extreme long shots of the car and the surrounding scene. This title sequence is simple yet effective. It has non-digetic sound such as violins, pianos and spooky vocals to add suspense and tension to the sequence. Also the camera follows the car throughout the scene suggesting and foreshadowing something will happen to the family in the car.
Skyfall (2012) — Art of the Title: Skyfall has a completely animated title sequence. It is very effective due to the deep colours being used like red and black which hints towards violence in the movie giving the audience a taste of what is to come. Also a lot of guns and fire are shown in the title sequence which further sets the tone of the film and establishes itself as an action movie.
